A jungler spends the first fifteen minutes deciding which lane to play for, and some laners turn that help into wins far better than others. We measured every jungle + mid and jungle + top pairing in the ranked solo/duo games LoLSuggest tracked on patch 16.19 to find the duos that actually win.

The sample: 447,693 ranked games played between September 22 and October 7, 2026 on the Turkey, North America, Korea and Singapore servers, with 845,590 jungle + mid and 842,027 jungle + top pairings. Jungle duos are spread over many more combinations than bot lane, so the cutoff here is 600 games together, which keeps the margin of error at about ±4 points.

Key takeaways

  • Tanky engage junglers dominate. Cho'Gath, Rammus, Wukong, Warwick and Briar account for every duo in the jungle + mid top ten.
  • Cho'Gath + Fizz is the best jungle + mid duo at 59.0%, and Shyvana + Teemo the best jungle + top duo at 58.0%.
  • Playing Yasuo mid? Warwick is the jungler to hope for: 54.2% together, against 48.5% with Master Yi.
  • Assassin junglers (Rengar, Kha'Zix, Qiyana and Zed) make up nine of the twelve worst duos across both lists.

How to read the numbers

Duo win rate is the share of games the jungler and the laner won together. Each table also shows how far a duo landed above or below its expected win rate (the jungler's patch win rate plus the laner's, minus 50). We call that difference synergy: a positive number means the two do better together than their individual strength predicts. All ranks are combined, and each champion is counted in the role it played in that game.

9Warwick + Malzahar55.8%1,425+1.3
10Cho'Gath + Veigar55.8%760+1.7

Cho'Gath + Fizz (59.0%) leads on win rate and beats its expectation by +4.2 points. Rupture's knock-up and Feral Scream's silence leave Fizz a target that cannot answer his all-in.

Rammus + Yone (58.7%) has the biggest synergy in the table at +5.1: Rammus's Frenzying Taunt holds an enemy in place while Yone lands his combo.

Wukong appears three times, with Lux, Malzahar and Akali. Enemies thrown up by Cyclone are easy targets for Lux's Light Binding and Final Spark or for Malzahar's Nether Grasp.

Warwick pairs best with reliable follow-up. Warwick + Viktor (56.6%) and Warwick + Malzahar (55.8% over 1,425 games, the largest sample in the top ten) combine Infinite Duress with damage that lands on a suppressed target.

9Briar + Teemo55.5%1,352+0.8
10Cho'Gath + Teemo55.2%1,401−0.1

Shyvana + Teemo (58.0%) tops the list. Both are strong on their own this patch (Teemo has the highest win rate of any commonly played top laner in our data at 52.5%), and they still beat their combined expectation by +3.2 points.

Master Yi + Malphite (56.4%, +4.0) is the best-supported result at 2,005 games: Unstoppable Force knocks up a whole team for Yi to clean up with Alpha Strike.

Cho'Gath shows up on both sides of the river: as a jungler with Nasus and Teemo, and as a top laner next to Warwick (55.9%).

Jungle duos with the most synergy

9Graves + Diana (mid)+3.854.0%50.2%693
10Rammus + Darius (top)+3.854.7%50.9%678

Lillia + Darius (+5.6) has the strongest synergy of any jungle duo we measured. Lillia's Lilting Lullaby puts drowsy enemies to sleep, which buys Darius the time he needs to stack Hemorrhage. Its raw win rate (55.7%) is lower than its synergy suggests because Darius himself wins only 48.4% of his top lane games this patch.

5Master Yi + Sett2,18551.8%−0.3
6Kayn + Teemo2,16854.1%+1.5

Master Yi is the most picked jungler in our data (11.5% pick rate) and appears in six of the eight most played jungle + top duos. Who he plays with matters: 55.1% with Teemo and 53.7% with Garen, but only 47.2% with Darius. In the mid lane, Yasuo is the most common partner for almost every popular jungler, and the results swing just as much: 54.2% with Warwick against 48.5% with Master Yi.

Jungle duos to avoid

Jungle duos with the lowest win rate, patch 16.19 (min. 600 games)

11Kha'Zix + Aatrox (top)44.9%612−1.8
12Kha'Zix + Yone (top)45.3%1,029−2.5

Assassin junglers fill nine of these twelve rows. They are weak on their own this patch (Rengar wins only 45.0% of his jungle games), and pairing them with a laner who also wants to play for picks rarely fixes that. The single worst result is Sylas + LeBlanc at 42.1%, 7.9 points below expectation.

Why not full five-champion team compositions?

We are often asked for the best five-champion team. The honest answer is that the same lineup almost never repeats in solo queue: with more than 170 champions, even popular five-champion combinations show up only a handful of times per patch, far too few to measure. Pairs are different. Every duo in this article has at least 600 games, and the most played ones have more than 3,000. That is why our recommender scores a draft pair by pair, combining every ally and enemy pairing that has enough data.
