What Is This Tool?

LoLSuggest is a web-based tool designed to help League of Legends players make better champion picks during draft phase. By analyzing your team composition and the enemy draft, our algorithm suggests champions that synergize with your allies and counter your opponents.

How It Works

Our recommendation engine scores every champion you could still pick using real results from tracked ranked games:

• Team synergy: For each of your allies, we look up how often the candidate champion won when playing on the same team as that ally, in the matching lanes.
• Counter matchups: For each enemy pick, we look up the candidate's win rate against that champion, with lane matchups weighted by the lanes you set.
• Evidence first: These direct win rates are averaged into the score you see, and picks backed by data against more of the draft rank higher. Pairings with fewer than 30 games are ignored, and champions with less than a 1% pick rate in a role are not suggested for it.
• Lane assignments: By specifying which lane each champion is playing, you get more accurate recommendations tailored to specific matchups.

The recommender does not guess from champion abilities or hand-made tier lists; every suggestion lists the win rates and game counts behind it. A full walkthrough is on the recommender page.

Data Sources & Methodology

Champion data, names, and images are sourced from Riot Games' official Data Dragon API. Beyond static champion data, we continuously track real ranked match results through the Riot Games API — millions of ranked solo/duo games from the Turkey, North America, Korea and Singapore servers. New games are processed every day and grouped by the patch they were played on.

That match data powers the win rates, pick rates, ban rates, and matchup statistics you see across our champion and meta pages, and it is the same data our written guides are cross-checked against. Our recommendation algorithm ranks picks by this real-world performance data, so a suggestion always reflects how that champion has actually done with your allies and against your opponents.
