Yorick Guide

Top

Yorick is a one-man army: his Ghouls and the Maiden fight alongside him, Mourning Mist sends the Ghouls onto a target, and Dark Procession can trap whole teams or zone objectives. He works as both a split-pusher and a teamfight threat.

The main page is Conqueror with Presence of Mind, Legend: Haste and Cut Down, plus Second Wind and Revitalize. Fleet Footwork is an equal alternative, and Grasp of the Undying with Demolish suits sustain-heavy games. An alternative first page is Deathfire Touch with Manaflow Band, Transcendence and Scorch, plus Demolish and Revitalize. Take Flash with Ignite; an alternative setup often takes Ghost and Ignite, with Exhaust against Tryndamere or Riven. Start Doran's Shield, or Doran's Helm. The main build is Trinity Force, Mercury's Treads, Serylda's Grudge, Endless Hunger, Sundered Sky and Spirit Visage. An alternative to Trinity Force uses two or three of Black Cleaver, Eclipse, Spear of Shojin and Sterak's Gage. Iceborn Gauntlet works against AD burst like Fiora or Renekton.

Strengths

  • A one-man army with Ghouls and the Maiden adding damage.
  • Dark Procession can trap an entire team or zone objectives.
  • Strong sustain from Last Rites healing combined with Revitalize and Spirit Visage.

Weaknesses

  • Mana-hungry without Presence of Mind or Manaflow Band.
  • Weak early against lane bullies; Irelia, Tryndamere, Jax, Sett and Yone are among the hardest matchups.
  • Relies on hitting Mourning Mist to direct his Ghouls.

Laning Phase

Doran's Shield and Second Wind help you sustain through poke-heavy lanes alongside Last Rites' healing. You're weak early against lane bullies, so be willing to give up some CS against Renekton or Kled. Against Jax, bait his jump, wall him, trade, then back off. Against Fiora, poke her with Last Rites whenever she goes for a vital. An alternative skill order puts three points in Dark Procession by level 5–7, then maxes Last Rites, then Mourning Mist.

Mid & Late Game

Split-push with your Ghouls and Maiden, or join teamfights where Dark Procession can trap enemies — they need to hit it four times or dash out. Use it to keep enemies out of, or trapped inside, the Dragon or Baron pit while your allies and summons attack from safety. Mourning Mist plus Serylda's Grudge and the extra speed lets you reach almost any target.

Key Tips

  • Titanic Hydra adds another auto reset alongside Last Rites, helping the Maiden and Hullbreaker while split-pushing.
  • A jungler like Poppy can knock enemies into your Dark Procession.
  • Mercury's Treads plus tenacity runes give you a lot of resistance to crowd control.
  • Fleet Footwork is better when fights are too short to stack Conqueror.
