Xayah Guide

ADC

Xayah deals massive continuous damage from range, built around managing her feathers: every Double Daggers, Deadly Plumage and auto-attack leaves feathers to recall with Bladecaller for damage and a root. She is weak early and vulnerable to burst, but she barely falls off and Featherstorm's untargetability gives her freedom in teamfights.

Lethal Tempo with Presence of Mind, Legend: Bloodline and Coup de Grace, plus Magical Footwear and Biscuit Delivery; Conqueror is the alternative keystone. Take Flash with Barrier or Cleanse, or Heal, Ghost or Exhaust. Start Doran's Blade, a potion and a Stealth Ward. The example build is Essence Reaver, Berserker's Greaves, Navori Flickerblade, Infinity Edge, Lord Dominik's Regards and Bloodthirster, with Yun Tal Wildarrows as an alternative first item. Mortal Reminder handles healing, Maw of Malmortius AP burst, Mercurial Scimitar crowd control, and Immortal Shieldbow and Guardian Angel survivability. Strengths

  • Great wave clear, pushing and poke.
  • Very strong root from Bladecaller.
  • Featherstorm makes her untargetable, so she stays relevant late.

Weaknesses

  • Weak early game that needs setup time.
  • Fairly immobile and weak to CC when her ultimate is down.
  • Tricky to learn — you must track your feathers — and poke lanes are tough.

Laning Phase

Last-hit as much as you can and avoid dying — bot lane sees the most ganks. Weave auto-attacks between abilities so you don't waste feathers, since you can only store five. Use Double Daggers and autos to set up quick Bladecaller roots with your support, and use Deadly Plumage on towers to take them faster. Be present for Dragon attempts.

Mid & Late Game

Farm as much as possible, including jungle camps — 15 CS is worth about a kill. After the first bot tower falls, swap to mid and siege while your mid laner side-lanes. In teamfights, deal with the frontline first, then turn on the backline when you can. Save Featherstorm to dodge key damage and drop more feathers, and respect assassins like LeBlanc, Fizz or Zed.

Key Tips

  • Flash during Bladecaller to redirect your feathers with very little reaction time.
  • Double Daggers can reveal whether enemies are hiding in a brush.
  • Xayah and Rakan can recall together.
