Support

Soraka is an enchanter support with unmatched sustain. Starcall drops a star that damages and slows enemies and heals her when it hits a champion, Astral Infusion heals an ally at the cost of some of her own health, Equinox creates a zone that silences enemies inside and roots those who stay until it ends, and Wish heals every allied champion anywhere on the map. Salvation speeds her up toward low-health allies. She keeps her ADC in lane far longer than the opponents can, protects carries from dives and turns long fights in her team's favour.

Situational Items

Start World Atlas and a Health Potion, and buy Bandleglass Mirror and a Control Ward on your first back. Complete the support quest into Celestial Opposition with Boots of Swiftness and Moonstone Renewer, then Whispering Circlet, which becomes Diadem of Songs, and Dawncore; Redemption or Shurelya's Battlesong complete the build. Dream Maker is another support item option, Staff of Flowing Water suits teams with AP carries, Mikael's Blessing protects your carry from crowd control, and Ardent Censer fits on-hit compositions. Ionian Boots of Lucidity or Mercury's Treads are alternative boots. Run Summon Aery with Nimbus Cloak, Celerity and Scorch, plus Font of Life and Revitalize; Axiom Arcanist instead of Nimbus Cloak is a variant, and Deep Ward with Relentless Hunter suits a roaming style. Take Flash with Heal, or Exhaust against champions like Kennen. Max W, then Q, then E.

Strengths

Exceptional sustain that dominates most lanes by outhealing enemy poke.
Wish is a global ultimate that can save allies or win skirmishes anywhere.
Equinox is a strong anti-dive tool, and she pairs well with scaling hypercarries.

Weaknesses

Very squishy and vulnerable to hooks, all-ins and coordinated dives.
No hard engage or mobility, so she depends on careful positioning.
Mana-hungry early; poke-heavy lanes such as Karma, Brand or Zyra are hard.

Laning Phase

The early game is about resilience: stay behind your minions, heal your ADC through the enemy poke from level 2 onwards, and use Starcall to harass, heal yourself and speed up while managing your mana. Ward the river entrances and bot-lane brush to avoid ganks, and save Equinox to silence engages from champions like Leona, Nautilus or Blitzcrank rather than throwing it out early. Against poke mages, sidestep and stay behind minions; against hook champions, punish their missed hooks with Starcall. Stay in the bot lane until your support quest is done instead of roaming early.

Mid & Late Game

Once you have your support item upgrade and levels in Wish, you become your team's backbone. Keep your carries alive through poke and dives with Astral Infusion, silence divers with Equinox, and watch the map to save allies or turn duels anywhere with Wish. With Soraka your team can stay on the map longer than the enemy, so use that to control objectives, deny vision and force rotations. The longer a fight lasts the stronger you are, so position safely at the back and keep healing.
