Quinn Guide

Mid

This guide plays Quinn as a roaming mid-lane marksman assassin. Harrier sends Valor to mark enemies as vulnerable so her next attack on them deals bonus damage, Blinding Assault damages and nearsights enemies so they cannot see her, Heightened Senses gives her attack speed and movement speed after hitting a vulnerable target and reveals a large area when activated, Vault dashes onto an enemy, slows them and bounces her back to maximum range, and Behind Enemy Lines lets her fly across the map at great speed before Skystrike damages and marks nearby enemies. Few champions can roam like her, so she makes every lane suffer.

Start Long Sword with a Refillable Potion to reach your first item faster, or Doran's Blade and a Health Potion if you plan to fight. On your first back aim for Tiamat, otherwise a Pickaxe, Long Swords or boots. The most used mid build is critality: Profane Hydra, Gunmetal Greaves, The Collector, Edge of Night, Lord Dominik's Regards and Infinity Edge. Against many squishies, a lethality build of Profane Hydra, Youmuu's Ghostblade, Edge of Night, Mortal Reminder and Umbral Glaive snowballs and helps roaming; Bastionbreaker melts towers after a pick, and Serpent's Fang counters shields. Against three or more tanks, take Kraken Slayer with Infinity Edge and Immortal Shieldbow. Gunmetal Greaves help split pushing, Swiftmarch dodges slows, and Armored Advance or Chainlaced Crushers protect against full physical or magic damage; Maw of Malmortius and Guardian Angel are the defensive options. Run Electrocute with Sudden Impact, Grisly Mementos and Treasure Hunter, plus Celerity and Scorch; Press the Attack is a riskier option against laners you outrange. Take Flash with Ignite, or Cleanse against Zoe. Max W, then Q, then E.

Strengths

  • One of the strongest level 1s in the game, especially with Electrocute.
  • Behind Enemy Lines lets her roam faster than any other champion.
  • Excellent split pusher who can disappear before anyone catches her.

Weaknesses

  • Needs gold badly; falling behind hurts her a lot.
  • Mages with stuns and assassins with gap closers make early trades risky.
  • Many champions get stronger dueling ultimates at level 6, so she must roam rather than fight them.

Laning Phase

Quinn's level 1 is very strong, so trade whenever Electrocute is ready, but be careful against other Electrocute champions such as Ahri and do not tank minions for too long. The early trade combo is an attack, Vault and another attack. Once enemies have their level 2 stun or gap closer, avoid trading until they use it, unless you land Blinding Assault; never Vault first into an unused stun. Use Heightened Senses to spot the enemy jungler and check brush without facechecking. At level 6, if you are ahead, keep running your opponent down and roam; if you are behind, avoid them and gank other lanes; if they get a stronger dueling ultimate, push the wave and roam. You can also hide in an unwarded brush, let them think you left, and jump them when they waste a spell on the wave.

Mid & Late Game

Behind Enemy Lines makes Quinn a superb split pusher: push a side lane, fly into fights before the enemy can match you, and ward Faelights from safe angles so you can see anyone coming and fly away. When moved to a side lane, wait in brush to kill your opposing laner or take the tower, but do not try this against an equal-strength assassin. The assassination combo is Behind Enemy Lines, an attack, Blinding Assault and more attacks, saving Vault to slow them as they flee and Ignite to finish. Late game, play with your team and punish anyone out of position, switching to crit items if the game drags on.

Key Tips

  • Blinding Assault can cancel some point-and-click abilities, such as Mordekaiser's or Garen's ultimate, with perfect timing.
  • Do not cast Heightened Senses while channelling Behind Enemy Lines; it cancels the ultimate.
  • Vault can stop dashes without crowd control, such as Pantheon's Shield Vault or Akali's Shuriken Flip.
  • Harrier will not mark minions while you are in a brush, which helps you mark the enemy champion.
