Lillia Guide

Jungle

Lillia is an AP skirmisher jungler built around movement speed and burn damage. Dream-Laden Bough makes her abilities burn enemies for a percentage of their maximum health and heals her, Blooming Blows deals bonus true damage at its outer edge and gives her stacking movement speed whenever her abilities hit, Watch Out! Eep! hits hard in its centre, Swirlseed rolls until it finds a target and slows it, and Lilting Lullaby puts every enemy carrying her burn to sleep. She clears quickly, farms into a strong mid and late game, and wins fights by running circles around the enemy.

Start Gustwalker Hatchling, the most reliable pet; Scorchclaw Pup gives more damage and Mosstomper Seedling more survivability. On your first back buy Fated Ashes and Control Wards, plus boots if you are not running Magical Footwear, and switch to Oracle Lens; Dark Seal is a good buy with spare gold. The core starts with Liandry's Torment, whose burn pairs perfectly with her passive, followed by Riftmaker and Zhonya's Hourglass, with Sorcerer's Shoes as the usual boots; the standard build finishes with Rylai's Crystal Scepter and Rabadon's Deathcap. Bloodletter's Curse is the best penetration option, Morellonomicon cuts healing, Banshee's Veil and Abyssal Mask help against magic damage and Frozen Heart against physical damage, and Mejai's Soulstealer or Cosmic Drive suit a lead. Take Ionian Boots of Lucidity against tanks and bruisers, Mercury's Treads against magic damage and crowd control, or Plated Steelcaps against physical damage. Run Conqueror with Triumph, Legend: Haste and Coup de Grace, plus Magical Footwear and Cosmic Insight; Dark Harvest is a riskier damage page, and Stormraider's Surge with Nimbus Cloak helps you kite bruisers. Take Flash with Smite. Max Q, then W, then E.

Strengths

  • Very fast and healthy clear thanks to area damage and kiting.
  • Huge movement speed from Blooming Blows lets her kite melee champions and reach fights anywhere.
  • Lilting Lullaby can put several enemies to sleep in teamfights.

Weaknesses

  • No hard crowd control before level 6, so her early ganks are weak.
  • Fragile early and vulnerable to invades from strong early junglers such as Kayn, Xin Zhao and Lee Sin.
  • Needs to land the centre of Watch Out! Eep! and keep moving to deal her damage.

Laning Phase

Always take Blooming Blows at level 1 and full clear. The best start is on the red side: Red Buff with Smite, Krugs, Raptors and Wolves, then Blue Buff with Smite and Gromp, which you can clear together at level 3, finishing at the Scuttle Crab. Start on the blue side instead when you want to gank a red-side lane straight after your clear. Lillia has no hard crowd control before level 6, so do not force ganks: go for enemies overextended near your tower or lanes where your ally has crowd control, and arrive with full movement speed stacks. She is fragile early, so ward your jungle entrances and avoid duels with strong early junglers; if you are invaded and cannot fight, retreat and take the enemy's buff on the opposite side instead. From level 6, Watch Out! Eep! with Lilting Lullaby makes her ganks and duels far more dangerous; prioritize the Voidgrubs, and counter-jungle when the enemy jungler shows on the other side of the map.

Mid & Late Game

With two or three items, your clear and movement speed let you keep farming and still join every fight. Use Oracle Lens and Control Wards to clear vision around objectives. In duels, kite melee champions at the outer edge of Blooming Blows for its true damage while Swirlseed slows them; against ranged champions, dodge their skillshots, close in after they use their mobility and aim Watch Out! Eep! where they are walking. Before teamfights, poke with Swirlseed; if your burn is on two or three key targets and your team can follow, cast Lilting Lullaby. Another option is to stack movement speed on minions or monsters, run through the enemy team once your team has engaged to burn as many enemies as possible, then cast Lilting Lullaby and step out or use Zhonya's Hourglass until they fall asleep.

Key Tips

  • Hit enemies with the outer edge of Blooming Blows to add true damage.
  • Watch Out! Eep! deals much more damage in its centre; aim it where the enemy will walk.
  • Swirlseed keeps rolling until it hits a target or a wall, so it can scout and slow from long range.
  • Lilting Lullaby only affects enemies carrying your burn, so tag as many as you can before casting it.
