Lee Sin Guide

Jungle

Lee Sin is a high-execution playmaker: dominate the early game with strong duels and invades, gank from fog of war with Sonic Wave, use ward-hops to outplay, and land Dragon's Rage kicks that turn skirmishes. He falls off if he doesn't build an early lead, so play as the aggressor.

Conqueror with Triumph, Legend: Alacrity and Coup de Grace plus Magical Footwear and Cosmic Insight is the main page; Electrocute or Dark Harvest pages with Sudden Impact suit assassin play into squishy teams. Take Flash and Smite, usually with the Gustwalker pet (Mosstomper for safety, Scorchclaw for picks). The meta build is Eclipse, Plated Steelcaps and Sundered Sky, then Death's Dance, Sterak's Gage and Guardian Angel. A bruiser path swaps Eclipse for Black Cleaver, Mercury's Treads and Kaenic Rookern help against AP and crowd control, and Profane Hydra opens lethality builds.

Strengths

  • Insane early dueling and invade pressure.
  • Dragon's Rage is a game-changing playmaking tool for picks and peel.
  • Exceptional mobility with ward-hops, plus a strong Q2 execute for objectives.

Weaknesses

  • Very high mechanical skill floor.
  • Falls off hard without an early lead; late game relies on the kick.
  • A missed Sonic Wave leaves him without his gap-closer, and energy limits follow-ups.

Laning Phase

Get a healthy first clear while managing energy: weave two auto-attacks between spells to use Flurry. Lee Sin has some of the strongest early invades in the game, so contest buffs and camps against junglers with weak early duels. In ganks, slow with Tempest first, then land Sonic Wave from fog of war; if you miss Q, disengage — you're useless for several seconds.

Mid & Late Game

With Dragon's Rage, kick priority targets into your team or peel divers off your carries. Control vision around objectives to set up flank kicks, and roam with your mid laner to create small skirmishes where your kick shines. Late game you're a secondary engage or a peel machine: flank with Q from fog of war or ward-hop into position, and make sure your kick doesn't save an enemy instead of killing them.

Key Tips

  • Practise the ward-hop and the Insec (ward-hop or Flash behind a target, then kick) in Practice Tool.
  • Use Tempest to reveal stealthed champions and check brush before committing Q.
  • Flash during Resonating Strike to extend its reach or adjust your kick angle.
  • Don't spam abilities — keep energy for Safeguard when you need to escape.
