The AD build's best page is Lethal Tempo with Presence of Mind, Legend: Haste and Cut Down, plus Cash Back and Triple Tonic; Press the Attack and Conqueror are alternatives. Take Flash with Barrier, the standard for ADCs, or Exhaust in very specific situations. The standard build is Trinity Force, Manamune (Muramana), Gluttonous Greaves, Serylda's Grudge, Endless Hunger and Guardian Angel. AP Ezreal instead runs Dark Harvest with Transcendence and Gathering Storm, starts Doran's Ring or Dark Seal, rushes Lich Bane, then Stormsurge, Shadowflame and Rabadon's Deathcap, with Void Staff and Hextech Gunblade situational.

Strengths

  • Long-range poke and one of the best early attack-speed steroids for fighting at levels 1–4.
  • Arcane Shift is a multi-tool for engaging, escaping and dodging.
  • Trueshot Barrage clears waves and can finish fights across the map.

Weaknesses

  • Skillshot-dependent — missed Qs mean little damage.
  • Squishy with no crowd control, so stuns and displacements are dangerous.
  • The AP version is very weak early and struggles into tanky teams.

Laning Phase

With enchanters, Ezreal can fight hard early thanks to his attack-speed steroid and Lethal Tempo. With Nami, fighting at levels 1–3 is very strong; with Karma, play for push priority and poke enemies under their tower. Engage supports like Leona, Nautilus or Braum set up easy Mystic Shots — your Q even procs Braum's passive. Mark enemies with Essence Flux and stay in Arcane Shift range so its bolt auto-targets them, and keep Arcane Shift as your escape unless engaging is clearly safe.

Mid & Late Game

Pick off squishy targets from a safe distance rather than looking for long duels, use Trueshot Barrage to finish low enemies or swing fights elsewhere, and keep landing Mystic Shots to lower your cooldowns. Supports whose abilities displace enemies unpredictably, like Thresh or Alistar, make follow-up harder for a skillshot champion.

  • Mystic Shot hits lower all your cooldowns, so keep landing them.
  • Proc Essence Flux with another ability to regain mana and keep poking.
