Jungle

Ekko is a tempo-driven skirmisher in jungle and mid lane. Snowball with Dark Seal and Dusk and Dawn, and win fights with Parallel Convergence cast from the fog of war, fast E–Q combos and a well-timed Chronobreak.

The jungle page is Dark Harvest with Sudden Impact, Grisly Mementos and Treasure Hunter, plus Magical Footwear and Cosmic Insight. Start Scorchclaw Pup; the first back is Blasting Wand and Dark Seal. The core is Nashor's Tooth, Dusk and Dawn and Rabadon's Deathcap; only buy Mejai's Soulstealer once Dark Seal has 10 stacks. Zhonya's Hourglass helps against heavy AD, Banshee's Veil against heavy AP and Void Staff against magic resist. In mid lane, an alternative setup runs Hail of Blades with Sudden Impact, Grisly Mementos and Relentless Hunter (Scorch is a must against Yasuo), takes Flash with Teleport, starts Doran's Ring or Dark Seal, and builds Dusk and Dawn, Spellslinger's Shoes, Shadowflame, Rabadon's Deathcap, Void Staff and Hextech Gunblade. Max Q, then E, then W.

Strengths

  • A mobile skirmisher, thanks to Phase Dive and his passive's movement speed.
  • Parallel Convergence is invisible to enemies until it's about to form, especially from the fog of war.
  • Chronobreak both heals and repositions, enabling bold dives and objective steals.

Weaknesses

  • Very vulnerable without Chronobreak; getting crowd-controlled while it's down is a common death.
  • Early duelists like Rengar, Kha'Zix and Elise make the jungle hard.
  • Timing-reliant: Q can be destroyed by Yasuo, Braum or Samira, and E can be stopped by Poppy or Taliyah.

Laning Phase

Jungle: clear Raptors, Krugs, Red, Wolves, Gromp, Blue; know when invades can come and concede a camp you can't hold. After the first clear take Scuttle, look for a mid gank, collect respawns, then reset for Dark Seal and Blasting Wand. Mid: play aggressively at levels 1–3 against Akali or Qiyana to secure a good first recall, but against Yasuo don't push into him — keep the wave in the middle and only take quick passive-proc trades. Never trade into bone plating or a passive shield, and bait out key spells like Akali's shroud or Zoe's bubble first.

Mid & Late Game

Ekko is a skirmisher: stay in melee range only when you can secure a kill or force a trade, and disengage once your cooldowns are used. Cast W from the fog so enemies can't react, then follow up with E and Flash or force their Flash. Keep a Smite charge for objectives: check health with W's vision, throw Q onto the objective, E over the wall, auto plus Smite, then R back out to steal Baron or a dragon.

Key Tips

  • Hold your R skill point (Ctrl+R levels it without casting) so enemies don't see your afterimage.
  • Cast Q during E's dash so both land as one motion.
  • If you expect a Yasuo ultimate after his knockup, W yourself first so he gets stunned when he lands on you.
  • W on yourself plus Zhonya's Hourglass stuns anyone who walks in to punish you.
  • Don't play Yasuo's 1v1 game — Ekko is stronger in 2v2s and teamfights.
