Camille Guide

Top

Camille's all-in is weaker than other bruisers early, but her Adaptive Defenses shield and Tactical Sweep poke win lots of small exchanges, and from the mid game she's a dominant duelist and split-pusher who can lock down carries with Hextech Ultimatum.

The top-lane main page is Grasp of the Undying with Shield Bash, Second Wind and Overgrowth, plus Magical Footwear and Biscuit Delivery; Conqueror and Press the Attack pages are alternatives. Take Flash with Teleport, or Ignite with either. Start Doran's Shield against short-trade or poke lanes, or Doran's Blade into all-in lanes. Build Sheen or Phage early, then Trinity Force and Ravenous Hydra, Spear of Shojin third, and Death's Dance and Maw of Malmortius for resistances; Ionian Boots of Lucidity, Mercury's Treads or Plated Steelcaps depending on the enemy. The support setup instead runs Hail of Blades, rushes Caulfield's Warhammer into Bloodsong, then Death's Dance and Endless Hunger to snowball off early dives on the ADC.

Strengths

  • Some of the best short trades in the game when used well.
  • Wins most 1v1s and split-pushes very well from the mid game on.
  • Hextech Ultimatum isolates a carry, and Hookshot gives strong flank angles.

Weaknesses

  • Weaker all-in than other bruisers early.
  • Very difficult lanes into Darius, Jax, Mordekaiser and Renekton.
  • True-damage poke like Gangplank's passive cuts through her shield.

Laning Phase

Chip your laner down with short trades and only all-in once they're low — learn to play for small wins. Against Darius, walk into his Q to proc your shield, trade with Q and back off; against Jax, bait his Counter Strike and trade only while it's down. Against Pantheon or Gwen before your first item, farm safely with W and avoid all-ins. Be careful trading during slow pushes, when Camille is weakest.

Mid & Late Game

Leave base through mid lane looking for catches, then move to a side lane to abuse your 1v1 strength and split-push pressure, using the tempo to reach objectives first. In teamfights you can play front-to-back, use Hextech Ultimatum to lock a target for your team, flank the enemy backline, or dive a carry with Guardian Angel for a one-for-one trade. On support, you jump the enemy ADC early and try to end before the game drags on.

Key Tips

  • Against Urgot, Hookshot can cancel his Disdain flip if you react quickly.
  • Against Shen, whoever uses their engage first usually loses the trade.
  • Against Fiora, never give her a free vital — answer every Lunge with your own Q.
  • Against Gnar, put three points in E early for more Hookshot uptime.
