Bel'Veth Guide

Jungle

Bel'Veth is a scaling jungle duelist. Death in Lavender permanently stacks attack speed from takedowns on large monsters, large minions and champions, Void Surge gives her four directional dashes, and Endless Banquet consumes Void Coral to put her in her True Form. She is exposed to early invades, so she wants clean clears and early objectives, then turns kills into map pressure as a strong post-6 duelist with teamfight resets.

Start Gustwalker Hatchling, whose movement speed helps her rotate between camps and ganks, plus a Health Potion. Kraken Slayer is the first item, followed by Stridebreaker or Blade of the Ruined King, Wit's End and Death's Dance. Terminus, Guinsoo's Rageblade or Hullbreaker suit split pushing, Jak'Sho, The Protean and Black Cleaver give a sturdier build, and Guardian Angel is a strong late buy. Mercury's Treads are best into crowd control and Plated Steelcaps against auto attackers. Run Conqueror with Triumph, Legend: Alacrity and Coup de Grace, plus Magical Footwear and Cosmic Insight; Lethal Tempo and Press the Attack are alternatives. Take Flash and Smite. Max Q, then E, then W.

Strengths

  • Permanent attack speed scaling makes her stronger the longer the game goes.
  • Void Surge's four directional dashes give her excellent chase and escape.
  • A strong duelist after level 6, and takedowns in teamfights keep her rolling.

Weaknesses

  • Vulnerable to early invades, with long Q cooldowns that strong early junglers punish.
  • Teams with a lot of hard crowd control can shut her down.
  • She falls behind hard if she gets shut down and needs items to come online.

Laning Phase

Your first minutes are about full clears while you track the enemy jungler to avoid invades; dash diagonally with Void Surge to move between camps quickly. Only leave the jungle for ganks your laner can follow with crowd control, although with a strong engage support a three-camp start into a level 3 gank works well. Avoid early 1v1s against strong early junglers and kite around Royal Maelstrom's cooldown if you are forced to fight. Voidgrubs are always worth it on Bel'Veth, especially the second spawn when you already have level 6.

Mid & Late Game

With Endless Banquet online, turn every kill into objectives or tower damage, and play on the opposite side of the map when the enemy takes a major objective. In skirmishes channel Royal Maelstrom to absorb burst and use Void Surge to cut off escapes. In late teamfights enter second, after the enemy has used their crowd control, keep one Void Surge to reposition and take Void Coral from squishy targets first so the resets keep coming. When ahead, split push with Hullbreaker.

Key Tips

  • Each Void Surge direction has its own cooldown, so dash in a new direction instead of waiting.
  • Save Above and Below to interrupt an engage or an escape.
  • Enter teamfights second, after the enemy has spent their crowd control.
  • Give up the first Voidgrubs for dragon if needed, but plan to take the second spawn at level 6.
